Live Saturday Show X Factor Poll

We have been asking our polling group for their reaction to tonight's performances, and here's what they say:

Filtering for those that actually watched the show, we see that they were most impressed with Leonna, with Ray picking up votes as we suggested he would in the big band genre:

How this affects the overall support can be seen below:

We're still not exactly sure how the double eviction will be structured, but rumour has it that the act with least public votes will be booted off before the second and third to last duel it out as usual.

When we filter for those that voted we hit dangerously small numbers, but we see the usual suspects in trouble, joined by Ashley after his line-fluffing performance:

Poll of Polls Update

Here's how the polling landscape looks heading into tonight's show:

By leaving the order of contestants unchanged from last week, we can see the only major change has been Ashley moving above Ray in terms of popularity:

We know there is a major twist planned for this evening, so this should be factored into any decisions regarding tonight's elimination.

However, we can see from the graph above that the bottom two are likely to come from Dionne, Robert, Kerry and The MacDonald Brothers. We know that Kerry can call upon the sympathy vote, whilst the MacDonalds seem to be getting votes from the Tartan army, so it would seem that Dionne and Robert are most vulnerable at present, notwithstanding the "twist".

Results Of Our 3rd X Factor Survey - Eton Road pick up some momentum;

Are the Merseyside four-piece Ben's key challengers?

We've been surveying our panel group and the X-Factor-interested-public since the end of Saturday's X Factor live show, a show that really cemented Ben's status as the nation's current X Factor favourite.

The
early data had far too few responders to be reliable enough to gauge accurately who would be leaving on Saturday night although 4sure were in last place in our poll and we suggested in our previous core poll that the MacDonald Brothers would live to fight another day. Let's take a look at the latest batch of data;

Final results of specialbets.com's X Factor live show survey
(418 responders. Those who did not watch the live show were excluded.)

Clearly, Ben's performance of the Rod Stewart classic Maggie May was your favourite, followed in the distance by Ashley, Eton Road, Nikitta and Leona;

In terms of your overall favourite act, Ben does not fare quite as well (although firmly in the lead) and Eton Road fare a lot better. Some of you prefer Eton Road to Ben despite considering Ben's performance on Saturday to be superior. Scottish support must be propping up Kerry and The MacDonald Brothers - who have few fans. Robert and Dionne look as though they are unlikely to make it to the December conclusion and you placed 4Sure appropriately at the end;

Interestingly, among declared voters, Ashley fares a lot better;

So what are the betting conclusions from this latest batch of data?

Leona Lewis' current price of 6.8 on the Betfair exchange below still looks too short - despite her having moved out from 4.2 type levels during Saturday's live show. You rate her just 5th overall despite her accomplished singing and vocal support from mentor Simon Cowell.

Eton Road should probably be shorter than current 6.6 prices on the exchanges - although we're mindful that the "Big Band" theme this week may not suit them and for this reason Ray at 15.5 may be worth a trading bet at least as this theme is his cup of tea more than anyone's and the data show his support is still in the double digits and looks like a survivor.
